Aloha!
The Honolulu Festival is back with its free showcase of culture, arts, and entertainment from the people of Asia Pacific, March 3-4.
The Festival’s cultural performances are taking place in three convenient locations – Hawaii Convention Center, Ala Moana Center, and Waikiki Beach Walk. Best news of all, admission to enjoy the performances and exhibits is free to everyone.
Two other highlight events for the public to enjoy are the Waikiki Grand Parade along Kalakaua Avenue on Sunday, March 4, starting at 4:30pm, and the spectacular Nagaoka Fireworks Show over Waikiki following the parade.
Last year’s fireworks show was canceled out of respect to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, which took place two days before the Festival began. In addition, more than 800 cultural performers from Japan didn’t make the trip to Hawaii due to the tragedy.
