And who can forget the most famous haircut ever?
FORT SMITH:   GI Haircut Day – March 25, 2009 – 51st anniversary date of that famous haircut when eyes from around the world were on Fort Chaffee as Elvis Presley lost those famous locks

March 25, 2009 ,1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Jimmy Peterson, local barber and whose father actually did Elvis’ haircut on 3/25/58 will be giving haircuts at the museum during this event.  The shears, clippers,  cape, etc. that was used on Elvis will be on display for the afternoon. 

Also attending the event will be the local photographer who took those photos that went around the world, as well as a local reporter for the Fort Smith Times Record newspaper who interviewed Elvis while he was in the barber shop.
